Cancellation Policy

We all know there can be surprises during pregnancy and that things don’t always go to plan. Below provides general details of Midwife Lauretta’s cancellation policy for all group, (in person and online classes) and Acuneedling sessions. However, each cancellation request will be considered on a case-by-case basis and we encourage you to contact us as soon as you’re able if you think you may need to cancel or make other arrangements. Especially in relation to the COVID screening - please contact Lauretta if there are any changes prior to you attending a class or Acuneedling treatment.

Face-to-face and Online classes

Cancellations made at least 28 days or more prior to the scheduled class will be refunded the full class cost minus a $50 administration fee and to cover the cost of finding a replacement couple to fill the cancelled place [or a place held for the next available session in lieu of refund if possible].

Cancellations made 14-27 days prior to the scheduled class may be refunded the full class cost less $50 only if a replacement couple is found to attend in the same place.

1-13 days prior to a class - refunds during this timeframe will only be considered for medical reasons and where Midwife Lauretta is unable to provide an alternate course prior to the clients estimated due date. A medical certificate, and if COVID, proof of a recent positive RAT/PCR test, may need to be provided by the client to receive a refund.

Refunds are not considered for non-medical cancellations within the 1-13 day timeframe, Lauretta will make every effort to provide and alternative date or the option of access the the online Your Birth Class, however due to the nature of providing catering and room hire, last minute cancellations need to be considered on an individual basis.

Refunds are not offered for change of mind.

In the event that Midwife Lauretta is unable to continue with a scheduled class date, they will work with couples registered for that class to reschedule or provide a refund to couples that are unable to attend a rescheduled or alternative class.

Midwife Lauretta provides a confirmation email when participants register for a class and a reminder email prior to the session. These emails include the location of the class, whether in person or online, and any other relevant details, such as start and finish times. It is however, up to the participants to remember the dates of any classes they have booked to attend and contact Lauretta by telephone or email if there are any concerns.

Midwife Lauretta aims to be reasonable and fair when considering cancellation requests, and appreciated the same from clients in return.

Acuneedling

I know life (and babies!) can be unpredictable, so here’s a quick note about my cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the appointment can be rescheduled or refunded in full for medical reasons (otherwise, we’ll find a new time that works).

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a 50% fee, unless it’s for medical reasons.

  • I always consider individual circumstances because I know life happens! 😊

If I need to reschedule for any reason, I’ll work with you to find another suitable time, or you can choose a full refund. If anything comes up, just call or text me at 0423 344 123 and we’ll sort it out!
