The Birth Buzz: March 2024

Hello,

Welcome to the Birth Buzz for March, this month I’ve got a podcast to share plus some life updates.

Firstly how are YOU? I’m never not grateful to be in your inbox.

A little life update from me: We are moving and heading off in our caravan in the next few months! I’ve finally gotten to a place where the excitement outweighs the fear, but some days, the overwhelm around all the THINGS that need to happen is a LOT.

Not unlike that feeling of preparing for a new baby…

Yesterday we hit the linen cupboard and home of all the teeny tiny baby clothes and things… there were tears and a sense of grief as we move past this life stage. I’m so grateful for my two girls, but as I often tell you and my clients, two things can be true. I definitely carry a great deal of sadness that we won’t have a baby again, that I won’t experience those kicks, breastfeeding (despite its challenges) and the delish baby smells and cuddles. You bet I’m keeping a few little things to sniff when I need to…

But I know that for me after two HG (hyperemesis gravidarum – think endless gastro without the other end) pregnancies, I know I cannot face that again, neither can my body or my family.

I spoke about my experiences on the fabulous Ready or Not podcast which was released last week – you can listen here:

It brought back a lot of that time - the isolation and desperation that being so sick brings with it. It was lovely to chat to Lucinda and we covered how I make work ‘work’ as a mum, midwife and business owner – it was a delight and I hope you enjoy if you listen.

Upcoming Classes

My last two classes until after our travels are coming up in March & April – I’ll then be away for 3-4 months & won’t be running any til later in the year, but I will still be doing private classes and online 1:1s on the road.

Book into a Your Birth Class for 16th March or 13th of April here:

And of course you can access my fully self-paced online class here:

Have a beautiful week & I’ll be back in your inbox in April.

Best wishes & baby bumps,
