The Birth Buzz: July 2022

Hello lovelies! I thought it would be nice to share some of my email newsletters here so you can see what I send out. Here’s the first one from July 2022 — while the next one is much meatier, I’d love to know what you’d like to hear each month!

And if you’re not already signed up, make sure you do so below so you can receive these direct to your inbox.

Hello and welcome, I'm Midwife Lauretta. Thanks so much for joining me via my website www.ballaratborn.com or our Community Directory.

It’s taken me a little (ahem… a long) while to get this started, but this is going to be a brief monthly email from me, to share some stories, updates, recommendations, research and topics on all things birth and beyond.

I recently shared a birth story from a lovely couple who attended my May Birth Skills Class – Sam opted for an induction, and she and Chris were able to work with it using many of the skills I share in the class, movement, acupressure & more, you can read it on Instagram or on the blog.

If you've been thinking about booking a Birth Skills class, or have some clients you’d like to share it with, the next one is on the 23rd of July, 10am at the beautifully restored Buninyong Community House (close to some lovely local cafes for coffee or lunch). There are 3 spots left, book yours now.

I also shared a little reel on how to create a postpartum caddy – SO handy to have beside you in those early (or even not so early) days of recovery. You can check it out here.

I'm also excitedly working away on some resources for your birth prep that you will be able to purchase, so I’d love to know:

  • What would you have liked to be able to learn about or have as part of your birth preparation?

  • Is there anything you'd love to see in this kind of resource?

If so, I’d love you to reply here…

I look forward to writing to you again next month (look at me all hopeful) and I hope whether you’re pregnant or in the depths of postpartum, or doing the very important work of supporting women during these times, that it can be helpful and a nice way to connect.

Wherever you are, know you’re doing a wonderful job.

Warmly,

Lauretta x

Much love -
